Notifications

Bigger Piggy provides a robust notification system to help you stay on top of your finances. You can receive notifications in-app or by email, and customize which notifications you want to receive.

Notification Delivery Methods

  • In-App: Receive notifications directly within Bigger Piggy.
  • Email: Get notifications sent to your email address.

You can mute all notifications or selectively enable/disable in-app or email notifications for each type by clicking the checkbox next to the notification.

Notification Types

  • Imported Transactions: Notifies you when new transactions are imported from one of your institutions.
  • Accounts Out of Sync: Notifies you when we can no longer sync one of your accounts.
  • Budget Exceeded: Notifies you when one of your budgets has been exceeded.
  • Transactions Need Review: Notifies you when a transaction needs review.
  • Expenses Over Amount: Notifies you when an expense is over a specified amount (e.g., $1,000.00).
  • Income Over Amount: Notifies you when an income transaction is over a specified amount (e.g., $1,000.00).
  • Account Balance Under Amount: Notifies you when an account balance is under a specified amount (e.g., $500.00).
  • Monthly Summary Report: Sends you a monthly summary report of your finances.

Managing Notifications

Notifications are managed in the

Notifications settings page.

  • Mute Notifications: You can mute all notifications if you do not wish to receive any alerts.
  • Enable/Disable Channels: For each notification type, you can enable or disable in-app and/or email delivery by toggling the corresponding checkbox.

By customizing your notification preferences, you can ensure you only receive the alerts that matter most to you, helping you stay informed and in control of your financial life.
