Merchants

Merchants help you keep track of where your money is going. They provide an additional way to organize your finances and gain insights into your spending habits.

What Are Merchants?

  • Merchants represent the businesses or individuals you pay or receive money from.
  • They are optional for transactions—transactions do not need to have a merchant assigned.
  • Assigning merchants allows you to see who your money is going to and analyze your spending by merchant.

How Merchants Are Created

  • Merchants are automatically created when transactions are imported from a linked bank account.
  • You can also create merchants manually from the Merchants settings page by clicking the Add Merchant button in the top right corner.

Managing Merchants

  • Manage your merchants from the Merchants settings page.
  • You can create new merchants or delete existing ones from this page.

By using merchants, you can add another layer of organization to your finances and better understand your spending patterns.
